A domain is the name of the website, such as google.com,
freetutorial.ws,
yahoo.com, youtube.com, these are domains.

A web hosting is where you place your web pages so that they show up on
the Internet. To make your website visible to the world, it has to be
hosted on a web server.
Most of the webhosting companies will charge you on a yearly basis for
the rental.
A
webhosting
is also a place for
you to park your web files so that other people can visit through the
internet as long as they know your domain name. When you create your
website using editing softwares such as Frontpage, Dreamweaver, NVU,
Composer, Wordpress and etc. in your computer, it is still called a web
file or
a webpage, it is not published yet, nobody can see it, until you
transfer
all the files to a webhosting, then it is published. In this website I

start to build your 1st website
First
thing you must have is a webhosting and domain. Without a hosting
and domain, you just have a webfile in your computer. Once you transfer
you webfile to your hosting, it becomes a website and ready to be
viewed by people from around the globe....
So here is my suggestion, don't use a free hosting because your website
will be looked as not professional at all. I suggest you use
hosting at GDI because:
Most
webhosting companies charge you yearly but in GDI you can pay
the rental monthly. So GDI is better.
Most
webhosting companies will ask you to pay first, then they will
activate your account after 24-48 hours for you to start uploading your
webfiles. In GDI you need not pay upfront, they will start charging
only after the 8th day you register (provided that you take a domain
with extention
of dotWs). This means, you get 7 days free trail. If you take a dotCom
or
dotNet or
other than dotWS, GDI will be like other hosting company, they will
charge you on the spot. GDI rental charges is $10 every months. Once
you register with them, you do not have to wait, you can
upload your webfiles instantly. On the spot. So
GDI is better.
Most
webhosting companies has no affiliate program but GDI has one. If
you are able to invite friends or your subscribers to rent GDI hosting
for
the purpose of having a website, GDI will pay $1 for every person that
your refer, and friends that your friends refer, and your friends'
friends refer, until 5 level, every months as long as they
stick with GDI. So GDI is better.
This as
an example of someone who is getting payments from GDI. Only after 2
years promoting the GDI affiliate program.
